Job Opportunity: Urologist in Jackson, MI
Henry Ford Jackson Hospital (HFHJ), a proud partner of Henry Ford Health System, is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Urologist to join our esteemed team in Jackson, Michigan. Located just 77 miles west of Detroit, our facility is known for its quality, innovation, and the remarkable care we deliver to the Jackson community.
Job Responsibilities:- Accepting candidates who are genuinely Board Eligible (to become Board Certified within 6 months) or Board Certified in Urology.
- Manage a growing patient base with an approximate 90-day credentialing process.
- Provide a mix of outpatient and inpatient care, including rounds and clinic responsibilities.
- Participate in a collaborative call rotation of 1:4 for work-life balance, including some weekends.
- Perform surgeries on two dedicated OR days per week, with 2.5 clinic days.
- See approximately 22 patients daily, including two new patients, with a total of 70-80 patients through the clinic.
- Engage in on-site procedures, supported by advanced equipment for cystoscopies, vasectomies, and more.
- Streamline patient consults with only one hospital for consultations, enhancing workflow.
- Collaborate within a highly collegial medical and administrative team focused on meaningful patient care.
- Contribute to a teaching environment dedicated to innovation and community wellness.
- Board Eligible (must become Board Certified within 6 months) or Board Certified in Urology.
- Valid Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA and CSR/CDS certifications (must be obtained prior to start).
- Clean malpractice and license history.
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
- Commitment to full-time position; no locum, visa support, or long-distance commuting candidates will be considered.
- Michigan medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Urology.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Current DEA and CSR/CDS certifications.
- Up-to-date flu vaccination.
