Job Opportunity: Gastroenterologist in Jackson, MI
Join a forward-thinking hospital program at the Jackson Division of Gastroenterology, located in the vibrant city of Jackson, Michigan. This is an exciting opportunity for a Board Eligible/Certified Gastroenterologist with ERCP certification. Here, you will be supported by a comprehensive team that enhances patient care and experience.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including rounds and clinic responsibilities.
- Assist in addressing growth needs and fill a replacement position.
- Manage an average patient base, supported by APPs in clinic and hospital environments.
- Contribute to a team-focused approach to gastroenterology in collaboration with the Henry Ford Medical Group.
- Utilize a hospital-owned endoscopy center and outpatient clinic for patient accessibility.
- Participate in teaching opportunities through the GME program.
- Perform job-related duties as assigned, adapting to the needs of the facility.
- Maintain knowledge of current business practices and healthcare issues.
- Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology.
- Board Eligible (must become Board Certified within one year) or Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
- Clean malpractice and license history.
- Experience: 5-8 years of GI work experience preferred.
- ERCP certification; candidates needing additional proctoring may be considered.
- Current COVID and flu vaccinations.
- ITIL and/or PMP certification preferred.
- Michigan medical license (or willing to obtain).
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA Registration (must be obtained prior to start).
- CSR/CDS Registration (must be obtained prior to start).
- Permanent Placement Fee agreement.
