Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner with a focus on psychiatric care to deliver high-quality services in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mental health assessments, medication management, and patient education, ensuring optimal outcomes for our diverse patient population. This is a full-time role dedicated to supporting individuals through comprehensive psychiatric care.
Required Skills
  • Valid and current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with a focus on mental health (PMHNP) certification
  • Proven experience in psychiatric assessment and treatment planning
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications and therapeutic modalities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience with telepsychiatry or remote patient management
  • Bilingual abilities to serve a diverse patient population
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Additional certifications in psychotherapy or substance abuse treatment

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) with specialization in psychiatry
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a psychiatric setting
  • Prior experience working in outpatient or community mental health is advantageous

Other Requirements
  • Candidates preferred to be local or willing to commute.
  • Coverage required for 6 months, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a 1-hour unpaid lunch.
  • Flexibility and reliability are essential for this role.
  • Valid DEA license and Board Certification required.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $1.00.
