We are actively seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine or EM-experienced Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician to help grow our program in Athens, Ohio. OVP is a family-owned physician group practice dedicated to delivering quality hospitalist and emergency department services. Our physicians and affiliated providers work in various inpatient facilities, ensuring high standards of care in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide medical care in the emergency department, ensuring quality and timely service.
- Collaborate with a physician-led organization in a dynamic team setting.
- Manage a 22-bed ED with an annual volume of approximately 28k visits.
- Work 12-hour shifts (day/night blend or nights preferred) with 24/7 physician coverage.
- Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records management.
- Support administrative operations on-site to enhance workflow.
- Maintain compliance with all standard medical practices and protocols.
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine OR Board Certified in Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with emergency medicine experience.
- Minimum of 12 months/2,000 hours of experience in Emergency Medicine.
- Ohio medical license (in hand or in process).
- Documented experience with a list of procedures performed.
- Proof of COVID vaccination status.
- Clean malpractice record and active licensing.
- Board Certification in relevant specialty.
- DEA license (must be obtained prior to start).
- Permanent placement fee acknowledgment.
- Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within last 30 days).
