Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting and accounting operations for our client in Columbia, South Carolina. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail who can ensure the accuracy of financial statements while adhering to strict deadlines. The ideal candidate will excel in managing month-end and year-end processes, preparing budgets and forecasts, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure compliance with established deadlines.
- Perform daily banking operations and ensure timely reporting of financial information.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate a smooth year-end audit process.
- Prepare and manage budget forecasts to support organizational financial planning.
- Develop and implement new procedures to improve departmental efficiency and workflow.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of general ledger structures and financial reporting systems.
- Analyze financial data to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including financial reporting and analysis.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
- Skilled in general ledger management, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
- High sense of urgency and growth-minded.
