Job Title: EVS Technician
Job Description
In this role, you will be tasked with cleaning non-occupied patient rooms, performing deep cleaning tasks that typically take 20-30 minutes. Responsibilities include making beds, flipping mattresses, thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting rooms, handling linens by placing them in large, heavy bags, and managing these bags in the proper disposal process. You will also clean isolation rooms, adhering to strict safety protocols, which involve mopping and sanitizing the entire area. This position requires dealing with soiled linen, bloody and dirty trash.
Responsibilities
Clean non-occupied patient rooms with deep cleaning procedures.
Make beds and flip mattresses in patient rooms.
Disinfect entire rooms thoroughly.
Handle and dispose of linens in a safe and efficient manner.
Clean isolation rooms following strict safety guidelines.
Manage and dispose of bloody and dirty trash and soiled linen.
Essential Skills
Strong individual capable of lifting up to 75lbs frequently.
Proven record of strong attendance.
Punctuality and reliability to work required hours and shifts.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, nurses, doctors, and housekeeping team.
Outstanding customer service skills and ability to work with difficult individuals.
Ability to lift 50lbs and push 200lbs.
Six months of previous hospital/hotel cleaning/housekeeping experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Direct experience in hospitals is preferred.
Being a very strong individual is advantageous.

Work Environment The work environment is primarily a hospital setting where you will be working independently most of the time, which requires being a self-starter. The dress code restricts facial piercings, requires covering tattoos, and avoids heavy fragrances. The shift is from 12PM to 8:30PM, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends. The environment calls for professionalism and adherence to safety standards.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.75 - $18.50/hr.
