Description
Boar's Head Resort is now accepting applications for seasonal Lifeguards to join our Sports Club team! As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for enforcing all pool policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all members and guests.
Some essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
Provide pool surveillance with 100% attention across different pools and locations.
Enforce all policies and procedures described in the Aquatics Staff Manual.
Play a key role in implementing the Emergency Action Plan when required.
Document all incidents on appropriate incident report forms.
Maintain good communication with all staff members.
Provide excellent customer service to all members and guests according to 4 Diamond Service Expectations.
Help maintain the cleanliness of the pool and surrounding facility.
Arrive on‑time, ready and dressed appropriately for each shift.
Requirements Essential
Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR for Professional Rescuer and AED Certified.
Ability to swim 150 yards/tread for two minutes/swim 50 yards non‑stop.
Swim distance of 20 yards, retrieve a 10 pound brick in 7-10 feet, return to surface and swim on back to starting point. (1 minute 40 seconds)
Possess high level of responsibility and attention.
Desirable
At least 16 years of age or older.
Strong abilities in swimming.
Previous experience teaching/coaching swimming.
Background knowledge of pool chemistry.
Prior lifeguard experience.
Prior guest services experience.
