Blue Star Partners (BSP) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Junior Accountant - Fixed Assets Analyst
to support our client's Finance team of a leading global healthcare organization. This role will focus on fixed asset accounting activities, project accounting support, and high-volume transactional work, with an emphasis on Excel proficiency and ERP postings. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working in structured accounting environments, and able to execute efficiently in a fast-paced close cycle. Key Responsibilities
Assist with the recording, tracking, and maintenance of fixed asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including depreciation runs, reconciliations, and reporting Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset records within the fixed asset subledger Perform physical asset verification and asset tagging across onsite locations Collaborate with project owners and finance partners to ensure timely capitalization of assets Prepare audit documentation and respond to internal and external audit requests Post manual journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications Support compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting policies Assist with system enhancements related to fixed asset accounting Generate standard and ad-hoc reports and analysis for management review Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance (internships acceptable) Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) Strong Excel skills
(basic formulas, lookups, reconciliations required) Experience working in an ERP system (SAP preferred; Oracle, NetSuite, or similar acceptable) Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to fixed assets or project accounting Familiarity with journal entries and reconciliations Experience supporting month-end or quarter-end close Sense of urgency and ability to meet tight deadlines Strong organizational and documentation skills
