Job Description We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team in Cairo, Egypt. As an integral part of our organisation, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
Manage month‑end preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and general ledger management
Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports to the internal leadership team
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and accuracy
Conduct regular financial analysis to support decision‑making processes
Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and support external audits
Calculate and submit monthly tax returns, including VAT
Develop and maintain financial databases and spreadsheets to track key performance indicators
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data collection and reporting
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
Stay up‑to‑date with changes in financial regulations and accounting standards relevant to the Egyptian market
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) or working towards one
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar accounting role
Strong knowledge of Egyptian accounting standards and tax regulations
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Fluency in Arabic and English
Experience with ERP systems is desirable
