The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant – Payroll to join our global Finance team. This critical role will report to the Financial Controller and take ownership of the payroll process for multiple regions, manage compensation‑related accounting functions, and support month‑end reporting and compliance activities.

What You Will Do Payroll & Compliance

Manage the end‑to‑end payroll process for employees in the

USA and Mexico , ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and reporting requirements.

Act as the payroll subject‑matter expert within the finance organization.

Oversee day‑to‑day operations of sales compensation plans, including commission calculations and validation of compensation data.

Administer incentive compensation programs and ensure accurate, timely payouts.

Analyze compensation data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement to support business goals.

Month‑End Close & Reporting

Execute month‑end accounting close activities related to payroll and sales compensation.

Prepare and record journal entries associated with payroll and commission expense.

Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.

Generate payroll, compensation, and related financial reports for internal stakeholders and external audits.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Partner with HR, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, and Finance teams to resolve payroll and compensation‑related inquiries.

Provide support for audit requests and compliance documentation.

Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements related to payroll and compensation.

What We’re Looking For Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

(required).

5+ years

of accounting experience across public and private companies.

Strong understanding of payroll practices, compensation structures, and related accounting.

High proficiency with

Excel

(including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis).

Experience with compensation management tools, Salesforce, and ERP systems.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

CPA

or working toward certification.

Experience with

Microsoft Dynamics

or other enterprise accounting systems.

Experience supporting international payroll or multi‑jurisdiction payroll environments.
