RiverMead, a not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community, is seeking a Cook who loves creating fresh, high-quality meals that bring comfort, joy, and connection. As a Cook at RiverMead, you’ll prepare and serve delicious, visually appealing meals for residents, staff, and guests across multiple dining venues in a supportive, team-oriented environment. At RiverMead, you’re not just joining a kitchen, you’re joining a community that values respect, compassion, and well-being.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a wide variety of menu items, including soups, salads, entrees, and desserts
Cook for multiple dining locations, including the Pub, Bistro, Health Center, and Main Kitchen
Ensure meals meet quality, presentation, and portion standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature control guidelines
Record cooler and food temperatures as required
Assist with equipment care and basic maintenance
Work collaboratively with other cooks and kitchen staff
Support the team by assisting where needed to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1-year professional cooking experience
Dependable, self‑motivated, and team-oriented
Strong attention to detail and food safety
Positive attitude and passion for helping others
