Job Title: Full Stack Developer
Job Type: Long term contract
Location: Remote
Work Authorization: US Citizen required
Referral Fee: +/- $2000
Job Description:
Our client is looking to add 5-6 Full Stack developers to their team for a long term contract. These people must be able to work independently and have excellent ability to communicate and work together with a team as well. They need to have a strong leadership ability. The best candidate will have experience owning application development end to end, preferably developing from scratch. Need to have experience in small and nimble teams vs being a small part of a large app/codebases.
Experience/Requirements:
Senior Full Stack Developer with 10 years + experience in Vue JS | Node JS.
Comfortable with Docker, ECS Fargate, ECR, pushing containers to production in the cloud (AWS Preferred)
Experience using Git for source code management
Experience writing SQL to create and modify relational data models
Experience working with Docker containers, ideally deployed in a cloud environment
Strong communication skills
Familiar with agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, and/or DevOps
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the back-end & front-end components of a user story and work independently or in partnership with other developers to design, implement, and unit test a complete solution.
Design and implement data model changes necessary for feature development.
Work with QA engineer and product owner to address any issues that are raised during testing and address them before release.
Help to diagnose, triage, and fix production defects.
Work with the development team and product owner during Backlog Grooming to understand user stories and break them down to a manageable size.
Perform code reviews of other engineers’ work.
Identify and address technical debt.
Participate in retrospectives and contribute to continuous improvement of the team’s software engineering practices.
Required Skills:
Backend: Node.js, C# .net is a plus but not required
Frontend: Vue.js, Javascript, CSS, HTML, JSON
Docker, NPM, Git/Github
AWS (ECS Fargate, ECR, Lambda, S3); Azure is a plus but not required
