Job Overview
The Construction Consultant represents the company’s interests on jobsites by providing inspections, erector training, field calls and claims processing. The Construction Consultant spends significant time traveling to jobsites and writing follow‑up reports.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Travel on short notice to States and countries in assigned territories – 50%
Perform warranty and claim inspections – 20%
Write field reports for the company and Builders – 10%
Assist regions with claim resolutions – 10%
Provide software training for erectors – 5%
Assist Product Excellence team to test new products – 5%
Key Measures
Dependable and successfully manages travel with short notice
Accurate jobsite reports
Problems resolved
Authority & Decision Making
Makes recommendations on software warranties with approval from management
Instructs erectors and installers regarding the assembly products
Creates erection concepts and procedures based on company standards and practices
Tools Required
Company software
Roof seamers
Power and hand tools for roof inspections and repair
Computer and software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Key Relationships
Services teams
Manufacturing
Area Sales Managers
Builders
Erectors
Vendors
Product Excellence team
Education & Experience Qualifications (Minimum)
High School diploma or equivalent
5 years of Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality Control experience
Experience with Pre‑Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB)
