The Operations Manager, FIU is responsible for managing the daily activity of field investigators and will act as a liaison between investigators and insurance claims staff. Utilizing a combination of designated investigative tools and an understanding of field operations, the individual is expected to review new cases, determine action plan, and oversee the investigative and reporting process to include editing and quality control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performing intensive review of newly assigned cases and formulates a strategy for field investigations
Selecting and scheduling appropriate investigators based on investigative requirements and logistics
Communicating with Digital Intelligence Unit (DIU) to appropriately interpret desktop findings necessary for quality field results
Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
Qualifications and Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Education and/or Experience An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning preferred; minimum of five years’ experience in field investigations and/or management; experience in claims processing preferred; experience in working with multiple departments within the investigative field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong analytical and research skills.
Familiar with the standard tools and techniques used for field investigations.
Creative thinking is key, and the individual must be able to solve complex problems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to support heavy workload volume and meet deadlines and critical regulatory guidelines.
