seeks a dedicated Midday Barre Instructor to deliver high-energy barre and group fitness classes that promote fitness, confidence, and community. The instructor will maintain a safe, motivating environment, provide personalized guidance, and actively promote Life Time programs, products, and services.
Class Types & Styles
STRENGTH
– LIFT, SHRED, MAXOUT
Build Strength: Strength training with music to enhance performance.
Shred: Full‑body strength and endurance circuits.
Maxout: Heavier‑weight, super‑sets, high‑energy conditioning.
CARDIO
– XTREME, REMIXX
XTREME: HIIT conditioning challenges.
REMIXX: High‑energy cardio with music remixes.
BOXING/KICKBOXING
– STRIKE: Power, precision, and attitude.
BARRE
– LIFE BARRE: Ballet‑rooted isometric movements that improve posture and joint mobility.
CYCLE
– AMP, EDG, PWR, DANZE
AMP: Rhythm‑driven cycling.
EDG: Data‑enhanced cardio and strength on a bike.
PWR: Athletic endurance cycling.
DANZE: Dance classes from Hip‑Hop to Latin Fusion.
YOGA
– SURRENDER YIN, ROOT HATHA, FLOW VINYASA
SURRENDER YIN: Slow, meditative yin‑yoga for mobility.
ROOT HATHA: Mindful self‑acceptance and balance.
FLOW VINYASA: Breath‑centered flow for strength and clarity.
ARORA
– Comprehensive programs for healthy aging, including AQUA, DANZE, GENTLE YOGA, and TOTAL BODY.
SGT
– GTX: Cardio & Strength, ULTRA FIT: Sprint & Strength, ALPHA: Full‑body conditioning.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Develop positive relationships with class participants.
Educate participants on correct form and alternative moves.
Listen to members and engage in conversation before and after classes.
Clean and organize studio space after each class.
Provide motivating, appropriate music for each class.
Promote Life Time programs, products, and services, encouraging class participation.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of fitness instructor experience.
CPR/AED certification.
One of the following group exercise certifications: NASM, ACE, AFAA, AEA.
Ability to perform aerobic activity for the duration of a class (e.g., standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, kneeling).
Ability to routinely lift 50 lb and occasionally 100 lb.
Ability to perform exercises specific to assigned class.
Pay The position pays a class rate between $35.00 and $70.00, based on experience, qualifications, and class duration. The class rate compensates for all working time associated with teaching classes, including pre‑ and post‑class preparation.
