Role Description As the public cloud engineering practices lead, you will shape and execute our public cloud strategy, contributing to our mission of delivering transformative cloud solutions—from high‑performance compute platforms for risk calculation to GenAI at scale, and payments solutions. You will implement architecture and processes to enable foundational infrastructure (accounts, network, compute, storage, observability) for application hosting in the public cloud, develop microservices, automate infrastructure provisioning, and liaise with application developers throughout the life cycle.
Responsibilities
Automate foundational infrastructure for public cloud (accounts, network, compute)
Deliver tooling and capabilities to support our cloud‑first strategy
Provide developer‑friendly cloud onboarding, account creation and management for supported cloud providers
Ensure compliance with regulations and policy through accurate requirements traceability
Develop, cascade, and enforce development and engineering best practices using a modern SDLC that enables CI/CD and emphasizes automation, auditability, automated testing, infrastructure and policy as code
Develop and advocate for new cloud‑native solutions to undefined system needs where no existing solution is available
Drive client satisfaction by identifying and developing process improvement and automation initiatives while ensuring compliance with the operations roadmap
Communicate requirements/tasks from technology departments and/or end users to stakeholders
Exhibit in‑depth understanding of engineering concepts and principles
Qualifications
At least 6+ years of strong hands‑on Java development experience (Java 8 / Spring Boot 2.0)
Experience implementing secure REST services/microservices
Experience with CI/CD build pipelines and toolchains (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Harness, Tekton, Maven, Artifactory, Jira)
Experience with container technologies (Docker) and Kubernetes platforms (EKS, GKE, OpenShift)
Knowledge of middleware & distributed messaging (Kafka)
Databases (MongoDB and SQL)
Familiarity with Domain‑Driven Design and Event‑Driven Architecture
Hands‑on expertise in development and deployment of code over public clouds and container environments
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of public cloud native services (AWS / GCP)
Experience with TDD (JUnit, Jasmine, Karma, Cucumber, Selenium) and automated UI testing frameworks
Experience with IaC deployment tools and languages (Terraform)
Experience with security standards (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT Bearer Tokens, Identity Framework, X509 certificates, Windows Security, SAML SSO)
Experience with ELK, Splunk, and Prometheus
Experience with workflow engines (BPM, Camunda, jBPM, etc.)
High proficiency in open‑source technologies/frameworks/tools
Education
Bachelor’s degree or university degree equivalent
Primary Location: Irving, Texas, United States
Salary Range: $125,760.00 – $188,640.00
