Epitec is seeking an experienced IT Operations Support Specialist to join our automotive client's team. In this role, the candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting engine production and plant operations and providing technical support throughout the manufacturing plant.
This is an ongoing W2 contract
This is an onsite position in Dearborn, MI
Candidates must be shift flexible for (1st, 2nd, 3rd shift)
Top Responsibilities
Provide technical support for IT applications, infrastructure, operating systems, and end-user productivity tools across multiple manufacturing plants.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for plant floor systems, servers, and network equipment in a Cisco-based environment.
Support integration and long-term maintenance of applications and hardware, including IIOT deployments using iOS and Android devices.
Collaborate with global IT teams and plant operations to ensure manufacturing applications meet productivity goals.
Assist with managing assignments, workload, and maintaining accurate support documentation.
Travel between multiple locations within the Ford manufacturing complex as needed.
Work flexible hours to support multi-shift operations (days, nights, weekends).
Key Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with diverse, cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to multi-task and solve problems independently under stressful circumstances.
Experience with IT operations and technical troubleshooting (Windows/Linux servers, Cisco routers/switches, VM environments).
Familiarity with Office365, SharePoint, and end-user devices (Windows PCs, printers, iOS/Android, Mac OS).
Knowledge of Windows Active Directory/ADFS and virtualization (Vsphere).
Manufacturing experience preferred; plant floor automation experience (PLC/control systems) is a plus.
Motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills.
Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
