ADC Engineer I – Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineering - Support Engineering Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an ADC Engineer I to support our dedicated cloud engineering and operations for U.S. Government agencies. This role focuses on implementing innovative cloud computing solutions and solving the world's most complex technical problems.

As part of AWS’s Intelligence team, you will work on some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world. We need adaptable engineers who are focused on operational excellence, troubleshooting, and simplifying solutions while ensuring the best customer experience.

Responsibilities

Execute defined tasks on schedule and identify ineffective processes.

Detect and remediate technical defects in implementations, ensuring high availability, performance, and maintainability.

Understand operational risk, avoid unnecessary risks, and timely resolve or mitigate operational concerns.

Work shift scheduling (24/7 operations), including nights and weekends as necessary.

Provide troubleshooting and operations support, automate operational processes, and innovate to improve efficiency.

A day in the life: dive deep to find the root cause of customer issues, investigate metrics, and discuss new approaches to automate tasks.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, or A+, CND, Network+, or Security+ certification.

1-3 years of experience with systems administration in Linux/Unix (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, Solaris, etc.).

1-3 years of experience with networking (TCP/IP, DNS).

1-3 years of experience with troubleshooting/support for technical IT issues.

Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with internet fundamentals and cloud computing concepts.

Experience with virtualization (Hypervisors, VMware, Xen).

Knowledge of security best practices.

Experience with AWS core services, Command Console, or command line interface.

Experience with compute, database, and storage concepts.

Experience with IPsec, VPN, Load Balancing, Iperf, MTR, Routing Protocols, SSH, network monitoring/troubleshooting tools.

Experience managing full application stacks from OS up through custom applications.

Compensation ranges from $81,900 to $152,000 per year, depending on market location and experience. Employees may receive equity, sign‑on payments, and other benefits as part of a total compensation package.
