Position Description We are looking for a team player who supports the administration, communication, and day‑to‑day operations of employee benefit programs. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and vendors, ensuring accurate benefit administration, timely communication, and a positive employee experience. Primary areas of focus include leave administration, HSA and FSA savings programs, 401(k) education and communication, vendor invoicing, benefit enrollments, benefit‑related payroll audits, and open enrollment support.
Key Responsibilities Benefits Administration & Employee Support
Serve as the primary administrator for employee benefit enrollments, life event changes and employee benefit questions
Manage the benefits mailbox and respond to employee inquiries
Ensure accurate data transmission between HRIS, payroll, and vendors
Leave Administration
Administer FMLA, state leaves, STD/LTD, parental and company leave programs
Coordinate with employees, managers, payroll, and vendors
Track certifications, timelines, and return‑to‑work processes
Support HSA administration including the funding of employee and employer contributions
Monitor FSA administration including staying compliant with non‑discrimination testing
Educate employees on eligibility and usage
Coordinate payroll deductions and vendor issues
401(k) Communication & Education
Coordinate enrollment and education communications
Complete monthly deferral audits and ad‑hoc requests
Support annual open enrollment planning and execution, including on‑site benefit fairs
Assist with new hire employee communications and benefit enrollment
Coordinate and communicate effectively with benefits vendors
Review and reconcile vendor invoices
Track billing and resolve vendor file discrepancies
Required Education & Qualifications Required Qualifications:
0 to 2 years of HR administration experience
Knowledge of benefit programs including leave, HSA/FSA and retirement (401(k) plans)
Open enrollment and vendor management experience, a plus
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
HRIS, Excel and benefit systems proficiency
Education Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a closely related field.
