The Production Team Member performs a variety of essential tasks to assist with production in a food manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include activities such as forming cheese, flipping cheese, brining cheese, completing quality checks and participating in the sanitation of production equipment. Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the operation of machinery and equipment used in the cheese making process to ensure smooth operation and efficient production. Work closely with other production associates and team members to ensure efficient workflow to meet production targets. Load and unload raw materials and cheese using food manufacturing equipment including hoists and/or conveyor systems. Safely and efficiently move products and materials within the facility, following proper handling procedures. This may involve using electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other equipment to transport goods. Ensure all equipment and materials are set up and readily available for production activities. Observe and monitor production lines to ensure the smooth flow of operations. Conduct regular quality checks and complete quality documentation to ensure compliance with specification and standards. Ensure accurate labeling and adherence to Affinage guidelines. Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and work areas following proper sanitation and cleaning procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA). Adhere to safety guidelines and comply with all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Attend safety and department meetings and complete all required training in a timely manner. Identify and report potential safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Previous experience working in a cheese making or food manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. The ability to safely operate electric pallet jacks. Ability to read and interpret work instructions. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products. Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods of time. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change. Ability to work overtime or extend shifts as needed. Physical Requirements

Constantly require using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and controls. Occasionally required to carry up to 40 pounds. Incidentally required to climb. Constantly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally push or pull maximum force of 40 pounds. Constantly reach. Constantly required to stand. Frequently required to walk, bend, twist, and squat. Constantly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus naturally or with correction. Work Environment

Constantly exposed to a moderate level of noise that may make it difficult to concentrate. Constantly exposed to wet, humid and slippery conditions, cold environment. Occasionally exposed to food grade chemicals required for proper sanitation. Frequently exposed to odors and air particulates related to the cheese make and aging process.
