This role involves skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation, and alteration of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems throughout all Dollywood Company properties. The successful candidate will embody “Lead with Love” qualities—patience, kindness, trust, honesty, and accountability—while providing excellent customer service to guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Inspect, repair, modify and install HVAC equipment including compressors, receivers, condensers, chillers, water cooling towers, air converter units, pumps, valves, expansion valves, capillary tubes, and more.

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair various types of commercial kitchen equipment.

Conduct preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, boilers, gas and electric air‑conditioning equipment, and evaporative coolers; perform necessary adjustments or repairs.

Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment such as thermostats, switches, fan controls, relays, filters, belts, compressors, heat exchangers, safety valves, and gas valves.

Operate hand and power tools, welder torch, vacuum pump, test equipment, and a motor vehicle; maintain tools and inventory.

Repair and rebuild semi‑hermetic reciprocating compressors and compressors for centrifugal refrigeration machines.

Perform electrical maintenance on HVAC components, timers, motors, wiring systems, and connect motors to control panels.

Lubricate and pack motors, pumps, fans, and other equipment.

Install and calibrate systems; install copper tubing, repair pipes, test joints, insulate refrigerant lines, flush boilers, descale tubing, rebuild safety valves and water pumps.

Install, rebuild, replace or repair fans, motors, thermostats, fuses, filters, bearings, valves, controls, and gaskets.

Maintain accurate records of time, labor, materials, and task logs; prepare reports as required.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

At least 18 years old.

Certified HVAC Technician.

Minimum of 2 years of documented HVAC journeyman‑level operation, maintenance, and repair experience.

Successful background check and drug screen.

Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.

Ability to work at heights up to and beyond 150 ft.

Technical aptitude for performing basic arithmetic and measurements in metric units.

Tolerance for chemical exposure from cleaning solvents, adhesives, paints, and lubricants.

Proficient use of hand tools, power tools, air compressors, drills, and impact wrenches.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements

Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.; follow safety guidelines.

Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and occasional stair use (up to 13‑hr shift).

Repetitive movements and use of hands and arms.

Work in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat.

Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
