Description We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to perform installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on hospital equipment and building systems.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment according to diagrams, manuals, and manufacturer specifications using hand and power tools.
Maintain air handlers, exhaust fans, patient beds, sterilizers, generators, oxygen, and vacuum systems.
Inspect, install, repair, and replace pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures for heating, water, gas, and drainage systems.
Cut, thread, and fit pipe sections and plumbing fixtures.
Construct, repair, and maintain furniture, wall partitions, cabinets, doors, and building framework.
Measure and cut floor tiles to size; install or replace Formica countertops, ceiling tiles, and window glass.
Prepare surfaces and apply paint, varnish, stains, or enamels to interior and exterior surfaces.
Perform grounds work and maintain landscaping sprinkler system components.
Keep preventive maintenance records up to date.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Vocational or technical training preferred.
1–5 years as a Maintenance Mechanic preferred.
