Description Position Title: Robotic Education Assistant

Primary Location: Washington-Kosciusko and Jefferson Elementary Schools

Assignment Specifications: January 25 – February 12, 2026, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30pm-3:30pm

Group Affiliation/Policy: Non-Affiliated

Classification: B-2-3, ASA Coach/Instructor

Hiring Range: $16.40 – $23.60

Exempt Status: Non-Exempt

Responsibilities:

Winona Area Public Schools is seeking a robotic Educational Assistant for the robotics program for the 2025-2026 school year. This position includes, but is not limited to, assisting students with designing, programming, fabricating and building a robot for their competition. Responsibilities include oversight and safety of students while fabricating, building, and testing the robot for competition. Under the administrative direction of the Building Principal and under the direct supervision of certified personnel, the Educational Assistant is an integral part of the educational team because of support provided to maximize instructional time. Duties assigned may include:

monitoring and escorting students

record keeping

charting monthly activity logs

material preparation

reinforcement of previously taught lessons

restraints when called for as per an Individual Education Plan (IEP) or student care plan

The educational assistant does not have responsibility for making decisions about any aspect of a student’s educational program; rather they are responsible for carrying out directives as provided by the certified personnel or Building Administration.
