Key Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with experienced cross‑disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
Design and implement customer‑facing features for Ring.com’s e‑commerce platform, including product discovery pages, search functionality, and navigation flows. Design systems to handle traffic spikes during peak shopping periods (Prime Day, Black Friday).
Design and implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for production systems. Build dashboards and metrics to track system health, performance, and business KPIs (availability, latency, error rates).
Apply AI tools effectively throughout the software development lifecycle—from design and implementation to testing and deployment.
Work in an agile environment to deliver high‑quality software.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
1+ year of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
1+ year of Object‑Oriented Design experience.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
