Job Description Using a variety of teaching and motivational techniques, this position will create a positive exercise experience. This professional teaches, leads, and motivates groups through intentionally designed exercise classes, plans effective, exercise science-based group sessions for different fitness levels, possesses motivational and leadership techniques that help classes achieve fitness goals, and will assist with facility support and other duties as assigned. Instructors know the human body, the science of exercise, and how to inspire, challenge and motivate change in the lives of the people they lead.

Job Requirements Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Required Skills:
Must be able to train all ages and special populations.
If applying for Yoga, must have the ability to obtain certification or completion of 200 hour yoga training through a Yoga Alliance RYS200 school within 6 months of hire.
If applying for Group Fitness Instructor, must have the ability to obtain a certification accredited through the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) within 6 months of hire.
Certifications:
If certification has been obtained, please attach to application.
Advertised Physical Requirements:
Regular exposure to disagreeable conditions, extreme temperature changes, odors, and hazardous chemicals.
Lifting and carrying loads up to 50 pounds.
Excessive use of arms in a back-and-forth motion, stooping and bending.
Prolonged standing and walking.
Must be at least 16 years of age as required by Fair Labor Standards Act.
May have constant exposure to loud noises.
Departmental Preference:
Group Fitness Instructors currently certified through an NCCA accredited organization such as NETA, ACE, AFAA, ACSM, or NSCA.
Yoga instructors currently certified through a Yoga Alliance RYS200 school.
Special Instructions:
