Inbound Associate III – WAI Global
The individual in this role is accountable for accurately receiving and storing product delivered to the distribution center in a timely manner. Properly unloads, verifies, sorts, labels, and stores product in the distribution center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
Confer or correspond with management to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
Deliver or route materials to departments, using forklift, conveyor, or sorting bins.
Assist with the receiving and unloading of goods to the receiving dock or proper staging area.
Verify goods received match purchase order or packing list.
Operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment in a professional and safe manner.
Observe and abide by all company’s policy and safety regulations.
Receives product deliveries.
Records and checks quantity and quality of goods received.
Inspect, accept, or reject inbound shipments.
Properly input received material into operating system.
Deliver product to appropriate personnel – insure all pathways are kept clear.
Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development.
Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety‑conscious culture.
Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment.
Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.
Requirements
Preferred: High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification; 1‑2 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Material Handling Equipment Experience: Pallet Jack.
Demonstrates strong problem‑solving abilities.
Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.
Detail‑oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
Has the ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills.
Licensing or Other Special Certifications None
Financial Responsibility No budget responsibilities.
Management/Supervisory Authority Does not manage or supervise associates.
Work Environment This role involves working in a warehouse setting. In the warehouse, standard equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, cameras, and material handling equipment (forklift, reach truck, order picker, etc.) are used.
Physical Demands
Standing – must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position.
Walking, Reaching and Handling – must be able to frequently move about inside the warehouse to access product and machinery; must stand and walk 60% of time, lift up to 40 lbs. normal, up to 70 lbs. less than 10% of time.
Seeing – frequently reads various documents and operates computer and other office tools/databases/equipment.
Talking and Hearing – frequently communicates with colleagues, co‑workers, and customers; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Manual Dexterity – frequently operates a computer and warehouse machinery.
