Job Overview Under the direction of the Manager, the Central Supply Technician works and cooperates with Receiving and Distribution staff to ensure the proper distribution and inventory of medical and surgical supplies.
Qualifications
High school diploma
Previous hospital central distribution experience and med/surg supply knowledge
Computer skills desirable
Preferred
College degree
Scheduling Requirements
Shift: Day – 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
Full‑time: 37.5 hours per week
Must work some weekends and holidays
Essential Functions
Distribution of medical and surgical supplies, including Pyxis and non‑Pyxis stock to all nursing care units.
Ensures proper rotation of dated inventory and maintains cleanliness of storeroom area.
Supply CMMC with both sterile and non‑sterile products, restock medical/surgical supplies in the Pyxis Supply Stations and perform Pyxis station inventories regularly.
Distribute equipment such as IV pumps, Flowtron, Gomco, etc.; pick up dirty equipment and instruments; assemble traction equipment as needed.
Replenish storeroom stock daily and maintain cleanliness of the department.
