Aston Carter is working with a great client in the Kansas City area. This is a 6‑month contract that may lead to a long‑term position. The company offers a hybrid schedule with office attendance twice a week, an onsite fitness facility, free lunches daily, and more. A bachelor’s degree is required, and the candidate must have talent‑acquisition experience in a large company, specifically with construction and/or engineering roles.
Job Description We are seeking a dynamic Construction Talent Acquisition Manager to collaborate with hiring managers in determining current and future staffing needs. The role involves developing and executing sourcing strategies using social networks, job boards, and niche platforms, as well as building and maintaining relationships with passive candidates and talent communities.
Responsibilities
Manage the full‑cycle recruitment process, including screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
Organize and participate in career fairs, networking events, and assessment centers.
Track and report key recruiting metrics such as time‑to‑fill and source of hire.
Ensure compliance with labor legislation and internal hiring policies.
Contribute to employer branding initiatives to attract diverse and high‑performing talent.
Maintain long‑term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates.
Essential Skills
Talent acquisition expertise with a focus on construction and/or engineering roles.
Proven experience in recruiting for HR and related fields.
Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and resume databases.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to conduct structured and behavioral interviews.
Knowledge of employment laws and hiring best practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred.
Strategic mindset with a passion for building high‑performing teams.
5+ years of Talent Acquisition and/or Agency experience required.
Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Kansas City, MO.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00–$50.00 per hour.
