What You’ll Do
Provide customer service to clients, students, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help deter unauthorized access and support a secure environment for all individuals on location.
Document and report security‑related incidents, observations, and activities according to established procedures.
Collaborate with campus staff and law enforcement as needed to address incidents and support a positive environment.
Remain alert and aware of surroundings while on patrol to identify and report potential hazards or suspicious activity.
Minimum Requirements
At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
