As a Team Member Relations Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in fostering a positive, people-centered culture by serving as a trusted advisor and advocate across our store teams.

Purpose-Driven Program Builder | Workforce & Community Development | Values-Based Leadership This role focuses on employee relations, resolving concerns, coaching leaders, conducting investigations, and supporting fair practices that align with our values.

In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of employee relations, helping to resolve concerns, coach leaders, conduct sensitive investigations, and support fair practices that align with our values. You’ll partner closely with multiple store locations, providing real-time support that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our team members.

What You’ll Do

Be a Go‑To Partner: Respond to leader and team member questions, providing clear guidance on policies, workplace concerns, and HR best practices.

Conduct Workplace Investigations: Manage investigations into sensitive employee matters, from initial interviews through documentation and recommended actions.

Support Team Member Advocacy: Offer coaching and conflict resolution to help resolve workplace concerns and maintain team morale.

Coach and Guide Leaders: Support performance and conduct discussions with leadership, helping ensure consistent and fair disciplinary actions.

Represent the Company: Participate in union grievance hearings, unemployment claims, and internal review boards, ensuring Raley’s values and procedures are upheld.

Analyze and Improve: Use data and case trends to identify root causes and suggest improvements to policies, culture, and team engagement.

Contribute to a Healthy Workplace: Help shape and refine our HR programs and practices to support a strong, inclusive, and compliant work environment.

What You Bring – Experience & Education

1–3+ years of HR or employee relations experience (multi‑site or retail industry preferred).

Experience managing investigations related to harassment, discrimination, or conduct.

High school diploma required; some college coursework or HR certifications (PHR, SHRM‑CP) strongly preferred.

Skills & Strengths

Exceptional judgment and problem‑solving under pressure.

Strong ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and confidentiality.

Ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels of the organization.

Excellent written and verbal communication — clear, professional, and people‑first.

Comfortable working independently and managing time across urgent and routine matters.

Familiarity with employment laws including EEO, ADA, FMLA, wage & hour, etc.
