Project Overview

Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. RNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five‑train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Job Summary

In this role, you will coordinate the recruiting, screening, and processing activities for craft employee positions including journeymen, mechanics, and foremen. You will publish recruitment advertisements, network with employment organizations, create wage bulletins and coordinate accreditation efforts. Your efforts will contribute to meeting team recruiting goals and successful project staffing.

Major Responsibilities

Coordinate the recruiting, screening, and in‑processing activities for the craft employees’ positions including journeymen, maestros, operators, mechanics, foremen, and general foremen Possess proficiency in the requisition tracking programs and employee data programs May act as a LR/IR/WFS representative on a smaller‑sized construction or maintenance project Monitor existing LR/IR/WFS programs to ensure desired objectives and/or results are being achieved Create and publish recruitment advertisements under the supervision of the recruiting supervisor and in collaboration with Communications team Maintain affiliations and engage with recruiting, industry, or employment organizations to promote networking and communications about craft employment Prepare information for craft remuneration activities Create wage bulletins based on market or union data and perform wage bulletin updates for the project in conjunction with LR Specify data to be captured in WFS Personnel/HRIS systems, work with Timekeeping/Payroll/Systems teams to homogenize craft data for the project or country

Education & Experience Requirements

Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 2‑5 years of relevant experience or 6‑9 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge & Skills

Ideally knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements associated with sourcing employees and applicants. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understands terminology related to craft skill sets. Previous work experience in industrial craft recruiting, or in the craft as a supervisor. Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Bi‑lingual preferred (English / Spanish) Previous experience in Industrial Relations, workforce services or applicable responsibilities in related organization is preferred.
