Summary Join us for this incredible opportunity to be part of our Human Resources team as an Area HR Manager at Hyatt Regency Houston-Downtown & Hyatt Centric the Woodlands, based out of Houston, TX. This is an HR Generalist role with an initial focus on Learning & Development and Training. The ideal candidate will have experience across all facets of Human Resources and will be pivotal in fostering a positive and productive work environment. This role involves managing various HR functions with key responsibilities in training and development, compliance, employee experience and engagement and may be asked to support recruitment and retention. This role could also support in areas of benefit administration and payroll. Operating with a high degree of autonomy and integrity, the Area HR Manager will ensure alignment with the strategic objectives of the HR department and the broader organization.

Key Responsibilities

Training and Development:

Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs. Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance employee skills and support career growth. Support New Hire Onboarding training and all other training related to compliance and safety.

Employee Experience and Engagement:

Lead and support efforts to enhance employee experience through regular 30, 60, and 90‑day check‑in conversations. Address employee concerns, foster a positive workplace culture, and promote employee engagement initiatives.

HR Administration:

Maintain and update HR records and databases. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and contribute to the smooth operation of the HR office.

Community Relations:

Maintain and update HR records and databases. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and contribute to the smooth operation of the HR office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or certification in Human Resources preferred.

• Training experience preferred.

Possess excellent Facilitation skills and communication skills (both written and oral forms).

• High level of energy, creativity and independent thinking.

• Self‑motivated and results driven with ability to communicate and influence effectively with hiring managers and candidates.

• Ability to consistently deliver a high level of customer service.

• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

• Strong team orientation and ability to build collaborative internal and external relationships.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

• Ability to commute between both hotels

• Bi‑lingual English/Spanish preferred
