Responsibilities

Design, integrate and document Plant Process Computer Systems used in nuclear power plants.

Design custom adapters, cabling and interfaces to transition existing plant equipment to new computer equipment.

Assist with cabinet layout and design, incorporating power distribution, network distribution, network equipment, data acquisition equipment, and servers.

Prepare documentation required by the customer to maintain the system after delivery.

Design to requirements, build and test.

Day to Day

Perform review of hardware design and system architecture, network layout, cabinet design, system cabling interface, custom panel and kit design, cabinet power design.

Perform review of data acquisition designs including interface cabling and custom adapter designs.

Learn and understand component selection to meet system needs and contract deliverables.

Participate in setup, system modification, integration, testing, and delivery of projects.

Understand and implement the quality standards applicable to nuclear safety systems.

Willingness to travel and work with local customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 8 years of applicable experience.

Knowledge of data acquisition hardware and software.

Entry level knowledge of circuit designs to support custom cables and interfaces.

Knowledge of data acquisition systems consisting of servers, workstations, controllers, I/O modules or boards.

Experience with ACAD and 3D modeling.

Drawing review experience.

Experience with Cisco switches.

Experience with RTP data acquisition systems or other.

Experience with servers and workstations.

The base salary range for this position is

$85,200 to $106,500

annually.
