$20.00–$22.50 per hour
Position Summary A well-established industrial services organization is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented
Receiving Inspection / Inventory Clerk
to support day-to-day operations. This role is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and assisting with shipping and logistics functions in a shop and outdoor environment.
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, prior warehouse or inspection experience, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on setting.
Key Responsibilities Receiving & Inspection
Receive, unload, and stage incoming materials and equipment
Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
Identify and report damaged, defective, or non-conforming materials
Tag, label, and document materials for traceability
Verify materials against purchase orders for quantity and specifications
Coordinate with internal teams regarding material arrivals and discrepancies
Maintain accurate documentation in an ERP system
Inventory Management
Monitor and maintain inventory levels for tooling, inserts, and protectors
Track daily usage and maintain inventory logs
Communicate restocking needs to purchasing
Separate, label, and manage customer-owned inventory
Prepare scrap materials for review and disposal
Coordinate with production to forecast upcoming material needs
Shipping & Material Handling
Assist with outbound shipments and loading/unloading trucks
Wrap pallets, label shipments, and verify shipping documentation
Operate a forklift safely
Maintain a clean, organized work environment
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in receiving, inspection, or warehouse operations (industrial or oilfield environment preferred)
Experience with inventory control and material tracking
Proficiency using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measure)
Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, metric/imperial conversions)
Ability to read basic part drawings
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems (JobBOSS preferred)
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
Comfortable working in outdoor and non–air-conditioned shop environments
Must be able to pass an eye exam
