Summary The addition of an Engineering Resource Planning Administrator is essential to optimize project planning and ensure efficient allocation of engineering talent. This role will work with Chief Engineering to compile engineering demand and enter the demand in the resource planning tool, coordinate with functional managers, centralize resource scheduling, identify conflicts, and improve project delivery timelines to support business growth objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate with Chief Engineers to compile project resource demands.

Enter and maintain accurate resource supply and demand in the resource planning tool.

Monitor resource allocation and availability, resolving scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks.

Collaborate with Chief Engineers to understand resource needs and deadlines.

Communicate with functional managers regarding shifts in demand schedules or scope, and potential risks to stakeholders.

Serve as the central point of contact for resource-related inquiries and resolve conflicts.

Forecast future resource needs based on the project pipeline.

Identify and implement opportunities to streamline resource management processes, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.

Utilize and manage resource planning software and related tools, such as project management software, spreadsheets, and databases.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or Engineering fields.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Detailed understanding of project lifecycle and schedule.

Experience in data entry.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various engineering disciplines.

Proficiency in resource management software, project management tools (e.g., Replicon-Polaris, MS Project, Open Plan), and advanced spreadsheet functions.

Comfortable in a high-stress environment working with demanding senior-level engineers.

Positive, can‑do attitude.

Security Responsibilities Must comply with all company security and data protection policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials. Shall not divulge information to employees without a need‑to‑know or without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company‑provided resources.

Incumbent must be eligible for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment

Work is sometimes performed in an environment with irritants such as noise, temperature, and lighting variations. This is a full-time, in‑office position with in‑person and video conferences common.

Moderate to high levels of stress may be experienced.

Physical Demands

Ability to operate a personal computer and sit at a workstation for extended periods.

May be required to climb stairs.
