Belgian Beer Cafe , a CBD landmark where 1930s old‑school charm meets Perth’s best beer pouring theatrics. We are seeking a high‑energy
Assistant Manager
to lead our unique venue, which features a world‑class Belgian beer selection, a modern bistro, and boutique accommodation. This is a fast‑paced, multi‑faceted role perfect for a leader who excels in high‑volume hospitality and takes pride in delivering an authentic, premium experience. If you’re ready to manage a Perth institution known for its character and quality service, we want to hear from you!
Salary:
$76,600 + super + bonus scheme
A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:
Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of their crew
Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift
Inherent requirements:
This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
About you:
You’ve been around the bar and bistro block, and maybe already done some supervising
You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
You’ve got a current RSA and Approved Manager card, as per WA state requirements
