The Supervisor, Warehouse & Materials Management (2nd Shift) position has the responsibility to lead all warehouse related processes across the site’s Shipping and Receiving functions. Responsible for maintaining policies, processes, and procedures to reduce variability and improve our performance in delivering the right product on time to the production floor and our distribution centers.

This position is in our Wheeling, IL manufacturing facility. The hours of 2nd shift are 3:30 pm to 2:00 am.

Essential Functions

Train, develop, motivate and retain a staff of 16 warehouse employees using a hands‑on leadership approach.

Proactively plan and establish labor schedules that align with business needs.

Support and execute the Plant’s safety program.

Perform other projects/duties as assigned.

Inventory

Design, implement and maintain an inventory program, including:

ABC cycle counts across all owned raw and pack inventory.

Semi‑annual physical inventory counts at the request of management.

Reconciliation reporting with responsibility for identifying process gaps and working with respective supervisors to implement mitigating operating controls.

Track root cause and develop corrective action plans with stakeholders.

Ensure processes align with needed financial reporting and controls slow moving, damaged and/or obsolete inventory.

Determine disposition of damaged and/or expired products, including any possible restitution.

Develop disposition decisions based on agreed decision tree.

Coordinate disposal processes and file documentation.

Receiving

Design, implement and maintain receiving procedures that minimize dock to stock time, allowing for the timely receipt of material.

In coordination with Quality, design and implement standard procedures for ensuring raw material and packaging quality at time of receipt, as per material specifications.

Manage expected inbound PO process for the facility, alerting stakeholders to late/missing deliveries and executing corrective action as appropriate.

Design, implement and maintain put‑away procedures in alignment to the facility’s Warehouse Management policies.

Shipping

Establish checklists for outbound transfers in alignment to our SQF and internal procedures.

Design, implement and maintain shipping & transfer procedures.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in warehousing, inventory, material handling or materials management in a manufacturing environment.

Previous experience in an ERP System.

Desired Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry.

B.S. or B.A. degree in business management, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The work environment is cold (35 to 50 degrees) on the manufacturing floor.

Universal Pay Verbiage The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation for this role is between $70,000 and $80,000. Benefits for this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, pre‑tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, 401K with company match, short‑term and long‑term disability, and life insurance.
