Business Manager – Enterprise Data Strategy
As a Business Analysis Manager at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. We are looking for an exceptional and innovative Business Manager who will identify and execute opportunities to address some of the most challenging data problems across the organization in support of our Chief Data Officer. Your role will help Capital One’s data transformation, creating and monetizing new opportunities at the intersection of technology and financial services. This high‑impact and rewarding business analysis role requires the ability to isolate the signal from the noise and communicate complex concepts in compelling and actionable ways to senior audiences. You will also be expected to roll up your sleeves to understand critical details.
Responsibilities
Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands.
Execution: Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build requirements and execute against the strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently.
Strategic & analytic orientation: Demonstrate a proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics with strong quantitative orientation.
Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: Apply a tenacious decision‑making approach that is healthy, aggressive yet responsible.
Solid people leadership experience: Build and leverage a high‑performing team, foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and consistently deliver results.
Strong executive communication skills: Provide impeccable written and oral communication, strategic influencing, and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Clear results orientation: Focus intensely on achieving short‑ and long‑term goals, driving and executing an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment.
Successful track record of thriving in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment. Previous consulting experience is a plus.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering).
At least 2 years of experience in analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering.
5+ years of experience in analysis.
2+ years of experience in financial services.
1+ year of experience in consulting.
2+ years of experience in people management.
Salary and Compensation McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800 for Business Manager
New York, NY: $172,800 - $197,200 for Business Manager
