Position Overview
Loudoun County is seeking a customer‑focused, collaborative leader to join its executive management team. The Deputy County Administrator (DCA) will lead an integrated, highly professional team, balancing high‑quality daily operations with long‑term strategic planning in a rapidly growing jurisdiction.
Key member of the County Administrator’s Executive Leadership Team.
Oversee a portfolio of departments, major projects, and interdepartmental initiatives.
Provide direction and strategic counsel on complex inter‑departmental initiatives, capital projects, and community‑wide issues.
Translate the Board of Supervisors’ vision into exceptional public service delivery.
Work closely with the Board of Supervisors, community and business leaders, and other state and local officials.
Qualifications Minimum requirements:
Master’s degree in business or public administration (or closely related field).
Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience, including three (3) years in a management role.
Preferred qualifications:
High level of responsibility in a senior‑level position with supervisory oversight.
Experience as a department head in a fast‑paced, high‑demand local government environment.
Experience in a multicultural, growing community.
Compensation and Benefits Hiring range: $250,000 – $275,000, depending on qualifications. Loudoun County offers an excellent benefits package.
