Night Shift Supervisor
Location: Indianapolis, IN, United States. Job ID: req26688. Night shift flexible hours: 6:00 pm–6:00 am.
What you will enjoy doing
Organize, lead, and facilitate efforts on night shift to ensure objectives and goals are met within the Advanced Materials business.
Monitor and adjust operational functions to ensure commitments are met by anticipating production (and non‑production) problems, developing contingency actions, and resolving critical issues.
Develop, manage, and continuously track annual and periodic production budgets and adjust as necessary.
Assume ultimate responsibility for employee safety, product quality, manufacturing schedule, and on‑time delivery metrics for the production and quality team on night shift.
Contribute to short and long‑term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team.
Maintain solid communication across a cross‑functional team to ensure production‑related issues are promptly addressed and appropriate corrective actions implemented.
What makes you great
Minimum B.S./B.A. with 4+ years of experience, or M.S./M.A./M.B.A. with 2+ years of experience, or 7+ years of related operational and/or supervisory experience with broad knowledge of principles and practices within operations.
Preferred 5‑10 years of direct experience with manufacturing and production.
Preferred experience with quality control testing and analysis to ensure seamless testing of products throughout the off‑shift hours.
Required to work night shift with flexibility between 6 pm‑6 am.
Demonstrate strong decision‑making and business judgement skills.
Self‑directed and can organize and prioritize tasks to meet business objectives.
Ability to work all shifts and weekends as necessary to support production.
