About The Role

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for mechanical work in support of the overall facility operation and in maintaining operation of the power generation plant. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing various aspects of mechanical maintenance on rotation machinery and equipment, boilers and support systems, cranes, structural supports and equipment, piping systems. Key Responsibilities

Performs a wide variety of mechanical repairs, PM’s, and fabrication, including pipefitting, rigging, assembly and disassembly of all types of plant operation equipment, conveyors, piping structural reinforced plastic, and sheet metal systems. Dismantles, overhauls, reassembles, and adjusts turbines, generators, boilers, pumps, valves, and all other auxiliary equipment. Inspects and lubricates all plant equipment routinely and makes necessary adjustments to ensure that equipment is operating efficiently. Performs heavy lifting and rigging. Uses burning torch and welding equipment to perform repair welding, mechanical repairs, piping, and valve packing. Performs integrity tests on piping and other plant equipment. Plans details of jobs assigned, develops, and uses sketches, blueprints, and complex drawings. Qualifications

GED/HS Diploma or 5 years’ related experience. Experience with boilers, cranes, soot blowers, motors, turbines, condensers, and conveyors a plus. Welding experience a plus. Physical Demands

Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb. Ability to lift/carry 50lbs. Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces. Qualify to wear a full-face respirator. Consistently work in various weather conditions. Shift Work
