Century Park Associates is hiring a Certified Medication Technician (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel/QMAP) to deliver quality assisted living services focused on maximizing resident’s individual capabilities in accordance with all laws and Century Park standards. Reports to Resident Care Director (or Assistant Resident Care Director).
Position Summary The Certified Medication Technician delivers quality assisted living services focused on maximizing resident’s individual capabilities in accordance with all laws and Century Park standards. Reports to Resident Care Director (or Assistant Resident Care Director).
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Med Tech or QMAP certification.
One year experience in senior services preferred.
CPR certification upon hire or within 90 days.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Follow all policies and procedures for medication administration and ordering.
Report medication errors or missing medications immediately.
Provide quality care to residents as indicated on the care plan.
Promote resident independence in accordance with service plan.
Comply with all infection control guidelines.
Ensure proper transfer of medication cart between shifts, including narcotic count.
Document medication administration in EHR per policy.
Participate in community lifestyle activities, events and outings, encouraging residents to attend.
Demonstrate patience, compassion and integrity with residents.
Additional Requirements
Enjoy serving seniors.
Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, willingness to handle difficult residents.
Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
Perform efficiently and effectively with little supervision.
Maintain professional relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary or confidential information.
Display integrity and professionalism by adhering to Century Park’s Code of Ethics and complete all required compliance training.
