The Erebus Program is a newly awarded seven‑year effort that delivers cutting‑edge intelligence and geospatial data management applications and services to the National Geospatial‑Intelligence Agency (NGA). As the premier geospatial intelligence program globally, Erebus supports over 14,000 intelligence analysts and decision‑makers at 50 distinct locations worldwide, developing innovative, machine‑generated and system‑augmented geospatial analysis and production capabilities that will revolutionize how intelligence is distributed to stakeholders.

Role Summary In this role you will be part of a software development SCRUM team as the embedded system engineer, assisting with system modeling, requirements definition and user outreach to ensure proper design of the software architecture. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of SCRUM processes, System Requirements tools such as Jira and Confluence, and be familiar with system modeling applications (Cameo).

Responsibilities

Participate in SCRUM ceremonies and contribute to agile delivery of embedded system software.

Assist with system modeling using Cameo and document system requirements in Jira and Confluence.

Conduct user outreach to gather requirements and provide training where needed.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and validate software architecture.

Basic Qualifications

Strong foundational knowledge of engineering principles, system architecture and design.

Strong understanding of Cameo modeling tool.

Experience creating artifacts using Jira and Confluence.

Experience working within a Scrum team.

Desired Skills

Knowledge of GEOINT analytic workflows.

Understanding of Cedalion or Orchestration Services applications.

Previous experience working on a software program.

Comfortable completing user outreach as well as training.

Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly.

Work Schedule: 9x80 every other Friday off, onsite full‑time. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility; schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week to condensed arrangements. These condensed schedules provide employees additional time away from the office and add to Paid Time Off benefits.

Pay Rate: Annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is $109,200 ‑ $192,510. For other states, the salary range reflects the candidate’s final work location. The salary information is a general guideline only; Lockheed Martin considers scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education/training, key skills and market/business factors when extending an offer.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
