Production Administrative Assistant
Herr Foods Inc. is located in Chillicothe, OH. This part‑time position is scheduled Monday–Friday, approximately four hours per day.
Job Summary This role provides administrative and clerical support to the Production Manager and assists with production area standard operating procedures, safety records, employee lists and confidential personnel issues.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain spreadsheets and generate reports weekly, bi‑weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
Assist with writing and editing standard operating procedures for the chip production area.
Assist with sensitive employment and personnel issues, including performance appraisals, accident reports and safety audits, while maintaining confidentiality.
Create, maintain and distribute time‑management and safety and Worker’s Compensation reports to Senior Management.
Gather and consolidate data from managers and supervisors into appropriate reports.
Plan department meetings, seminars and recruitment training sessions and coordinate training documentation.
Research and report on industry and regional trends.
Schedule and coordinate managers’ schedules and departmental activities.
Maintain departmental employee lists and send appropriate correspondence.
Communicate professionally, including answering, transferring and redirecting incoming telephone calls.
Assist in recruitment by screening resumes, conducting phone screens and scheduling interviews.
Qualifications
2+ years of administrative experience or a college degree with 0‑2 years of experience.
Experience in a sales support setting preferred; recruiting experience a strong plus.
Strong customer service orientation, courteous and demonstrated listening skills.
Self‑motivated, work ethic, ability to work within tight deadlines and pay attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem‑solving ability, enjoys a multi‑tasking environment; excellent organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate‑to‑advanced) and ability to learn industry‑specific software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; open to different points of view.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
