Senior Solution Architect / Business Analyst – FDIC Dividend Processing Systems
We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect with exceptional business analysis skills and deep subject matter expertise in the FDIC’s Dividend Processing System (DPS). This role requires comprehensive knowledge of DPS business processes, data flows, and integrations, including internal interfaces with CAS and NFE, as well as external integrations with Fiserv and JPMorgan Chase QuickPay.

Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & System Design:
Serve as the lead solution architect for DPS-related initiatives, enhancements, and modernization efforts.
Design end-to-end solution architectures that align business requirements with FDIC technical standards and regulatory constraints.
Define system integration patterns and data flows across DPS, CAS, NFE, Fiserv, and JPMorgan Chase QuickPay.
Evaluate impacts of proposed changes on upstream and downstream systems and ensure architectural integrity.
Business Analysis & Subject Matter Expertise:
Act as a trusted business analyst and subject matter expert for FDIC dividend processing operations.
Elicit, analyze, document, and validate complex business requirements related to dividend calculation, payment processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
Translate business policies, regulatory requirements, and operational needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
Provide expert guidance on DPS business rules, data structures, and processing cycles.
Data Analysis & SQL:
Use advanced SQL skills to analyze large datasets, validate dividend calculations, reconcile payments, and investigate data discrepancies.
Support data mapping, data quality analysis, and audit support activities.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot production issues and validate fixes.
Integration & Stakeholder Collaboration:
Lead and support integration efforts with external vendors and financial institutions, including Fiserv and JPMorgan Chase QuickPay.
Work closely with FDIC business users, developers, testers, vendors, and leadership to ensure shared understanding of requirements and solutions.
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and governance forums.
Provide architectural and analytical leadership across DPS initiatives.
Mentor contract staff on DPS functionality, integration patterns, and best practices.
Contribute to standards, documentation, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
Experience & Skills Required Qualifications:
Minimum 20 years of professional experience in solution architecture, systems analysis, or related roles.
Demonstrated hands‑on expertise with the FDIC Dividend Processing System (DPS).
Deep knowledge of DPS internal interfaces with CAS and NFE.
Strong understanding of DPS external interfaces with Fiserv and JPMorgan Chase QuickPay.
Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, performance tuning, and data validation.
Proven ability to function as both a solution architect and senior business analyst.
Strong understanding of financial systems, payment processing, and reconciliation processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working directly with or supporting FDIC systems or regulatory financial environments.
Experience with system modernization, legacy system integration, or large‑scale data‑driven applications.
Familiarity with agile methodology.
Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews, or compliance initiatives.
Work Style:
Detail‑oriented, analytical, and highly organized.
Comfortable operating in complex, highly regulated environments.
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Salary and Benefit Information The likely salary range for this position is $176,500–$250,000.
