Position Summary Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor Private Label Nuts, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the management and facilitation of customer orders, pricing, document requests, customer inquiries, complaints, and resolutions. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking. This is a significantly important role, and the candidate is expected to exercise discretion and judgment in managing the day-to-day business on customer accounts. The individual has authority to make independent decisions on matters which affect the overall business. The incumbent must develop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met. This position will work to maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers ensuring success for both the customer and the ofi team.
Position Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of customer sales contract fulfillment including contract review, credit standing, product sampling, on-time deliveries, freight coordination, freight pricing, and warehouse coordination to ensure order fulfillment with specified timeframes.
Manage logistics related direct costs choosing the right third-party service providers and actively manage the supply chain.
Assist traders in creating budgets for shipments and ensure it is properly adhered to.
Schedule, coordinate, and plan future shipments and deliveries to anticipate customer’s needs.
Clear and deliver inbound cargo; Prepare customs entries and inbound delivery orders.
Arrange releases from warehouses for delivery to customers.
Create outbound delivery orders and invoices for releases.
Communicate effectively and efficiently with origins, customers, and vendors.
Liaison with third party warehouses for product entry, storage, and delivery.
Manage customer claims for shortages or losses. Resolve concerns and address issues promptly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma Required. Bachelor’s Degree in business or logistics preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
3 (three) years of experience in customer service, freight management, or logistics is required. ERP system experience is required, SAP is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and meet multiple competing demands is required. Must be able to problem solve and handle multiple tasks effectively.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office is required.
Knowledge of industry practices, terminology, and settlement process is preferred.
Strong practical accounting, analytical and organizational skills are required.
The pay for this role in the state of California ranges from $66,000 - $80,000 and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on candidate’s experience, qualifications and/or other determining factors.
