America’s Auto Auction (AAA) is a full-service used-vehicle auction services provider that facilitates the wholesale remarketing of used vehicles for (Business to Business) B2B customers, delivering a critical liquidity function to enable the used car sales ecosystem. Based in Carmel, IN, AAA facilitates the selling and buying of used vehicles at physical auction sites across 20 states as well as on digital platforms. America's Auto Auction – Carmel, IN is looking for an outstanding Senior Accountant to join our growing corporate team. This position is based out of the Carmel, IN office and will support all aspects of the monthly financial close, audit reconciliation, accounts payable documentation. You will also be assisting the regional controllers as needed and responding to information requests by management.
What You Will Do:
Work in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
Maintain and post lease entries in accordance with ASC 842
Maintain and post Rebate accruals and payments based on sales data
Maintain Cash Recons for multiple accounts
Record entries and maintain necessary ledgers for sub company
Review monthly credit card charges and check for GL coding accuracy
Estimates and records accruals
Investigates budget to actual variances
Coordinates with general managers during month-end close process
Review AP GL coding for accuracy and approve for weekly payment processing
Approve On-Demand payments for daily processing
Coordinate with cardholders to obtain completed expense reports and receipt images
At the request of the Assistant Controller and Controller, computes various performance measures, projections and analyses on a quarterly and monthly basis and participates in covenant calculations, proformas, and appraisals.

Requirements Qualifications:
Knowledge: Must have a working knowledge of various computer applications, accrual accounting, budgeting and financial statement preparation. Must demonstrate analytical and logical thinking in forming cogent conclusions from data analyses.
Skills: The Senior Accountant must have excellent mathematical skills as well as proficiency in preparation of spreadsheets, word-processing and the use of a 10-key calculator. The position requires excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
Abilities: The Senior Accountant must exercise attention to detail, time management in meeting deadlines, and adequate written ability. They must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. In all position responsibilities the Senior Accountant must be efficient, accurate and timely.
Education: The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance from an accredited University, with a minimum of three to five years’ relevant experience.
