Job Responsibilities

Assist in management and upkeep of the entire security systems portfolio, including support for upgrades and transitions from legacy platforms.

Contribute to the development, implementation, and operation of security technologies tailored to hospital needs.

Support the creation and enforcement of security‑related policies and procedures; assist in training end users.

Manage and maintain the security systems database, proactively troubleshooting to ensure reliability and sustainability.

Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify and address issues such as loose connections, faulty wiring, or damaged devices.

Install, maintain, and repair security devices (analog/IP cameras, access control systems, and related hardware) in accordance with technical diagrams and building plans.

Mount and secure control panels, video surveillance equipment, access readers, panic hardware, and other devices as needed.

Test and repair circuits and components to ensure optimal performance and diagnose system faults.

Assist the Security Specialist in planning and executing new security projects; apply basic project coordination skills as needed.

Stay informed on emerging physical security technologies and provide recommendations for system improvements.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and basic networking issues for end‑users.

Demonstrate working knowledge of IP configurations, including assigning IP addresses and configuring DHCP settings.

Escalate complex or critical technical issues to the Security Specialist for direction or resolution.

Assist in providing analytical support for security system servers, including system monitoring and basic troubleshooting.

Maintain and update CCTV and access control software by adding/removing devices; collaborate with IT for system upgrades and scheduled downtime.

Create and compile reports and dashboards for review by hospital leadership and other stakeholders.

Conduct quality assurance reviews of ongoing projects and monitor vendor performance to ensure standards are met.

Perform other related duties and special assignments as required.

Qualifications

Certification or registration in Honeywell Prowatch, Axis cameras, Salient CompleteView 2020 preferred (not required); certification in Genetec, Avigilon and other systems is a plus.

No formal education requirement; however, experience and knowledge are essential.

Minimum of two years’ experience installing/repairing access control systems.

Comprehensive knowledge of integrated security systems, CCV troubleshooting, programming, and repair.
