Project Architect (Hybrid)
We’re seeking a Project Architect with strong technical, coordination, and design skills to support Workplace, Retail, and Media/Broadcast projects. You’ll help lead design development, construction documents, consultant coordination, and construction administration while ensuring projects meet client goals, schedules, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop design drawings and construction documents
Coordinate with consultants and internal design teams
Perform site surveys, due diligence, and building code reviews
Translate design concepts into buildable solutions
Lead Construction Administration: RFIs, submittals, site visits, change orders
Communicate project updates to PMs, clients, and teams
Prepare design/technical presentations and support marketing efforts
Key Qualifications
4–10 years architectural experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture
Experience in Workplace, Retail, or Media/Broadcast
Strong skills in Design & Construction Documents
Thorough knowledge of materials, methods, and building codes
Onsite construction experience
Proficiency in REVIT; hand sketching a plus
Strong communication, detail orientation, and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred
Licensed Architect or pursuing licensure
Experience with high-end interiors or premium project types
Work Environment
Hybrid: 4 days in office, Fridays WFH (with flexibility for meetings/site visits)
Collaborative, open‑studio environment; casual dress
Growing firm (6 40 employees) with approachable, hands‑on leadership
Fun culture featuring things like Margarita Fridays
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
