Education and Experience:
High school or GED*, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc. plus 18-24 months related experience and/or training. •Required Industry Certifications or ability to pass within specified timeframes (12 -24 months) (e.g. CompTIA A+, Network +, Microsoft and Cisco). •Bachelor’s in computer science preferred. •Home schooled or private high school graduates should contact the Oklahoma Department of Education to determine if their school is accredited. If not, a GED is required.
Requirements:
Valid Oklahoma State Driver’s License
Ability to pass a background investigation suitable for access to CJIS restricted systems.
Ability to pass required exams for federal and state compliance.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of computer systems and IT components
Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
Good communication skills
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Abilities to successfully troubleshoot systems

Tasked with maintaining computer systems, troubleshooting errors, maintaining internet connectivity, running diagnostic tests, maintaining servers, repairing computer hardware, and providing technical support.
Set-up hardware and install/configure software and drivers
Maintain and repair technology equipment (router) or peripheral devices
Install WAN and other networks and manage components.
Manage security options in computers and networks to maintain privacy and protect from attacks.
Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain current.
Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality.
Perform maintenance sessions to discover and mend inefficiencies.
Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference.
Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize computers correctly.
Other duties as assigned.
